On the 23rd February we officially opened the doors to our wonderful labour of love, Sustudio, and what a night it was with silent yoga journeys, eyebrow shaping, Indian head massages, delectable food and drink, and uplifting music courtesy of DJ extraordinaire, Chris Fairfax.
Back in 2019 when we bought the old bank on Canford Cliffs High Street, we had one vision – to create a space that would bring the community together and inspire people to live differently. We knew we wanted the studio to have sustainability at its core, from using reclaimed materials throughout the build, to seriously investing in solar power and were committed to working with, and supporting, local businesses who also shared our passion.
Fast forward two years, and it’s safe to say that our vision has been brought to life beautifully thanks to an incredible group effort – from our amazing workmen on site, to our investors, friends and families who have been there to hold us up at every step. Being able to hold a launch event filled to the brim with all those who have made this possible, including our team of amazing teachers and therapists as well as our new members, really was our dream come true.
Huge thanks go to our event sponsors who made the evening incredibly special: Beach Bum, Daluma, Friexenet, Georgia Boyce, Hunza G, Midas Prosecco, Press Juices, Redemption Roasters, Skin in Motion, Sweaty Betty, Trimbella and Tuuli Teas.
Thank you too to everyone who has come to one of our classes since, to those who have stopped by for a coffee or treatments and to those who’ve just popped in to say hi; we’ve seen friendships forming and mindsets changing, which is exactly what we created Sustudio for.
