MEET THE MOXEYS

Simon Moxey is a true Poole local. Although he’s travelled the world, he’s always found his way back to the sandy shores of his hometown. Following in the footsteps of his father, Tim, Simon began working alongside him at just 18—designing and building beautiful, award-winning homes across the region.

His passion for architecture led him to study at some of the UK’s most prestigious institutions, including The Bartlett School of Architectural and the Royal College of Art in London. Simon's career has taken him from designing a Paul Smith shopfront in Covent Garden, to creating spaces like the Forge Members Club in Shoreditch and the café at the iconic Heals furniture store on Tottenham Court Road.

After stints in Berlin and Lisbon, Simon returned to Poole with his wife, Jacki, and their children. He now runs his architectural practice, Moxey & Webb, with his long-time friend Oli. What was originally intended to be their studio office on the High Street has instead become something more—a space transformed by Jacki into Sustudio, a hub for health, wellbeing, and community.

Jacki Moxey is a Londoner at heart. Her first career as a lawyer at Warner Bros. took a sharp turn after experiencing burnout. It was then that she returned to a lifelong passion: yoga. Introduced to the practice by her grandmothers, she went on to train in Berlin and then complete her advanced yoga teacher training in India in 2013.

Moving to Poole in 2017—nine months after having her first child and pregnant with her second—Jacki found the transition from city life challenging. Used to the buzz and convenience of London, she missed the access to wellness spaces and creative hubs. But she quickly discovered a community of like-minded people also searching for something more.

Together, Simon and Jacki combined their talents to create SuStudio—a thoughtfully designed space for people to connect, move, breathe, and be inspired. It’s a reflection of their journey, their travels, and their shared desire to build something meaningful for their family and the wider community.

Since opening, they’ve attracted exceptional local teachers, passionate practitioners, and inspiring brands, all excited to be part of this South Coast gem. The studio is living proof of what happens when you take a leap of faith and just go for it.

It hasn’t all been easy—there have been obstacles and doubts—but as they say, nothing worthwhile ever is. We hope you feel at home here, love the space as much as we do, and become part of the SuStudio journey.

With love,
Jacki, Simon, Eric & Marlon
