We’re so proud to bring Redemption Roasters to Dorset, who are a London coffee company on a mission to reduce reoffending through the power of the coffee bean.
How you might ask? Well by thinking outside the box in a brilliant this-can-help-so-many-people-in-so-many-ways type way. They actively train prison residents and people at risk of crime with the skills they need to gain secure and meaningful employment - whether that’s through their roastery inside HMP The Mount, or through one of their prison-based barista academies, or through their commitment to providing employment to those who graduate with them.
All of which has had a positive impact on the national cost of reoffending; usually costing the UK taxpayer £19 billion per year, this figure has been cut in half through the power of Redemption's initiatives. Pretty impressive stuff.
What does this mean for Sustudio? Aside from all the good stuff we’ve just spoken about and our commitment to working with suppliers who make a difference, Redemption Roasters really do know their (coffee) beans and have been serving up seriously good coffee since 2016, we’re incredibly lucky to have them on board as it means we can add ‘AMAZING coffee’ to our list of reasons you should definitely pay us a visit in Canford Cliffs!
